Prologue

“Miss Scott, you have five movie offers. Please, pick one so you may go to rehersals.” Michelle King told her client. Anna looked at her publisist, then down at the scripts in front of her.

“Well, AntiTrust looks good and so does Save The Last Dance. Who’s the male lead in Last Dance?”

“Sean Patrick Thomas.” Michelle replied.

“AntiTrust?”

“Ryan Phillippe. Do you want romance or action thriller?”

“I’ll do AntiTrust. How much will I be paid?” Anna inquired.

“Fifteen million. Sign the form. You start rehearsals tomorrow. You do have some of your lines down correct?” Anna sighed.

“Yes I do. Will there be a cast party?” Michelle nodded and handed her a piece of paper.

“Tomorrow, formal at this address, at seven o’clock. Good luck Anna.” Michelle said as shelet herself out. Why did I get into acting so young? Anna wondered. She was only twenty-one and she was already a well respected actress. Anna sighed. As much as she loved acting, this was another movie that would take another six to eight months out of her life. Anna sunk down into the soft plush pillows on her couch. What I wouldn’t give to be a normal woman.
