JC headed to his tour bus, a heavy feeling in his heart. Of course Julie had turned him down. He had a been an asshole and he was paying for it. And Brian probably wouldn’t leave her alone. JC sighed in frustration and ran a hand through his brown hair. Justin looked up as JC entered the bus.
"Talk didn’t go well?” Justin laughed bitterly. “What did you expect? Her best friend died and the guy she truly loves, lied and had her dreams taken away from her. What would you do?”
“The exact same thing. Where’s Johnny?” Justin shrugged.
“Seek and you shall find. I’m not going to help you.” JC sought out and eventually found Johnny.
“Johnny, I need to talk to you about Julie.” Johnny looked at him tiredly.
“What about Miss Porter?” JC hated the way he called her Miss Porter.
“I lied to you. Julie never had any guys on her bus with her. I lied becauseI.....I was afraid to fall in love with her. But it didn’t work. I did fall in love with her and I hate the fact that I’m the reason she waitressing in a cafe.” Johnny raised his eyebrow skeptically.
“I am correct in saying that you lied to me so you wouldn’t fall in love with Miss Porter?” JC nodded.
“And you do love her, don’t you Mr. Chasez?” Again JC nodded.
“Love is a once in a lifetime thing Mr. Chasez. If you truly love her, then I suggest you tell her.”
“I tried and she walked away. Can you bring her back on tour? I really miss her and the guys are pissed because they care about her too.” Johnny sighed.
“Yes JC. I’ll get her back on tour.” JC nodded and walked out of the room. Everything would get better. It had to.
**************
“Phone call Julie.” Julie grabbed the phone.
“Hello?” She said exasperatedly.
“Miss Porter? Ths is Johnny. May I speak to you for a moment?” Julie’s heart constricted. Johnny was the one who had kicked her off the tour.
“Um, sure. About what?”
“About getting you back on this tour. And about Mr. Chasez.” Julie gasped.
“JC told me that he had lied to me and practically begged me to bring you back on tour. He really cares about you Julie.” Julie wiped away a few tears that had managed to fall.
“I know.” Julie whispered. “I’ve known all along.”
“So will you come back on tour?” Julie didn’t hesitate with her answer.
“Yes and I’ll be there in a half an hour.” Julie hung up the phone as her boss Mark walked in. Julie took off her apron and threw it in Mark’s face.
“I quit.” Julie walked out of the cafe and drove toward Jive’s studios. She strolled right past the receptionist, straight down the hallway to the recording studio where she knew he would be. Julie pushed open the door, walked past the other bewildered members of the group and passionatly kissed JC. The whole room was clapping and cheering as the two reluctantly pulled apart.
“Welcome home Julie.” JC said, kissing her again. Maybe there was such a thing as happily ever after.
