I carefully put the white roses on Tallon’s grave.
White roses mean friendship, I thought to myself. It had been something I hadn’t gotten until it was too late. Tallon might have been gone, but at least I had his memory, his friendship. I hadn’t been ready to let him go and I paid for it. But now, I think I finally am.
“Rest in peace Tallon.” I said, and I walked out of the cemetary, leaving broken promises and shattered dreams behind.
