Now, sixteen years later, twenty two year old Kaitlyn Donovan is bitter, angry, and alone. Desperatly seeking an outlet for the anger she is harboring inside, Kaitlyn is the leader singer in a band called Rage. All she wanted was to be something, to forget the pain that festering inside her soul. Music was a way of doing just that.
All Shane West wanted was a record deal for his band, Average Jo. What neither Shane nor Kaitlyn wanted were distractions in their lives. When they’re unexpectedly thrown together for Teen People’s first What’s Next? tour, both come to realize that they have alot to learn. Kaitlyn must learn to trust people in general and Shane must learn to believe in love once again. Will they both achieve their dreams and teach each other something along the way? Or will are they both destined to alone, with only their music to console them?
