One winter day in December 1985 Andrej came and said to me: 'Marjan Hladnik (the former guitarist) - later playing with me in band THE GEN - had quit the band. Grab your guitar and Marshall 10-watt practice amp and we'll have a gig.' It was six in the evening; we had a walk to the downtown and at seven o'clock I was playing with the other members of the band in Cafe Union as a guest. I'd known a lot of numbers they were performing and this really wasn't a problem. On two songs I backed the guitar's volume down and was just 'acting' playing because I didn't knew the chords then (I think TICO-TICO was one of them)!
That lasted only for two weeks. I guess they realized it was easier to split money in four rather then five cuts...
I've had former and later musical experience with Andrej Nanut, and he's became a successful producer (for Cafe and Sonja Zupan) and recording engineer in METRO studio for other musicians. Now he owns his own studio. The others play in different dance groups.
