After the demise of Mathias Gubetz the drummer Joško Hren from the former band and me have founded the band ZVEZDE (THE STARS). We were interested in funk and jazz-rock music based on shuffle rhytms (like music of Chuck Brown, Maceo Parker etc.). We were rehearsing in the atomic shelter near Rožnik hill. We've got Matjaž Ahčin as bass player. Although he was new to the instrument, he adapted quickly. In fact he was also the member of the group MOJ BOOGIE BAND (MY BOOGIE BAND); with them he recorded blues CD two years later. After a year of rehearsals, the group with the same name got into the music scene, having more success. Well, we didn't mind because inspite of interesting music we have played, we were on dead track. The arrival of keyboard player (and actor) Matej Recer didn't help much. Later we've got the female singer, but the band's already gone downhill. They've had some rehearsals for a few months after I've left the band, but without any success.
