The Beginning…

On the 14th of February I (Sally) got an unusual phone call from a girl from Bunyip. I had never spoken to her and knew nothing. This girl was Simone. I had written to her once. All I knew is that she was 15 years old, and a HUGE Human Nature fan like myself. That’s all we needed*lol*. Simone asked me if I could buy her Adelaide tickets to the HN ‘TOUR 2000’. Of course I said yes. (YAY! Thanks SO Much for that Sal!!)

On February 25th I took some time of school to go and buy Simone’s and my ‘TOUR 2000’ tickets. The first time I went up to him and asked for the tickets he told me it was sold out. I went outside and shed may tears!! :o( It was pretty pathetic, but I was so looking forward to this concert and was never going to miss it. I decided to go back inside and say something. I had never gone off at someone like I did that day. It was pretty cool (WHOO –YOU TELL EM SAL *lol*). He then told me it was a mistake and there were some left. Thank God!!

Simone and I rang each other every weekend on from now onwards. We were very excited about meeting. We soon become good friends!! :o)

Then on 13th April I found out something that would change my life - and Simone's FOREVER.

I got a phone call from channel 7. They told me that I had won this competition I had entered and was going to have lunch with HUMAN NATURE- *arrrrrrhhhhhhhh* - I could not believe it. I was crying my eyes out. It was very emotional. I then knew I had to ring Simone to tell her the great news. But I was unable to contact her (As She was off chasing HN round her home town - Melbourne!! *he, he*), so thought I would surprise her with it when I picked her up off the train. I just couldn’t keep it from her, so rang her Mum, who was going to hear from Simone that night.

“Oh man! You should of seen me (This Is Simone) when I found out, I was just coming back from tt fm were I had just met up with the HN boys and I was walking back with my pals Ruth & Clare when I remember I had forgotten to ring mum and tell where I was…so I went off to find a phone box! I rang her and after that I just couldn’t breath. She broke it to me very calmly, but being me I just couldn’t hold it all back and screamed on the spot!!! Anyways I’ll hand this story back to Sally now…”

April 15th came sooner than expected. This was the day when all our dreams were to come true. My Mum and me picked Simone up off the train at 8am, and came back to my house. We just clicked. We talked about everything, and nothing was going to shut us up. We watched HUMAN NATURE videos and talked about what we were going to say, and wear etc.

At 12pm, the Smart Car arrived. By this time we were very nervous. The man opened the doors for us and we got in. It took us 20 minutes to get to the Stamford, where the lunch was. In the car we talked to the driver, who thought we were just a little weird *lol*. We arrived at the Stamford were we waited for the other winners. It was then time to go upstairs, and meet our idols once again. We entered the room and sat on a very comfy lounge. The room was huge, with a big table in the middle set up very nicely. The lady told us about what to do etc. We then got to see where we were sitting, and I found out I was next to Mike (Simone butts in yet again -After a bit of a fight for that chair I let Sally sit next to him! After all I would only be one seat away…) this was very exciting and I couldn’t believe it. I was in tears once again. Then at 1pm we hear voices coming down the hallway, it was Andrew. Then they all entered and shook our hands and introduced themselves, even though we knew their names. I stood and talked to Phil for around 5 minutes. It was heaps cool as they remembered me, and Simone. We then went to our seats, and I sat next to Mike. We said hello once again, and then Andrew, who was sitting opposite us asked how we won the competition. I explained everything, like spending heaps of money ringing up to enter. From that time onwards me and Mike did not shut up, and Simone and Andrew did not shut up. Mike and I (Sally) talked about everything, like the new album, new years, school, working, leaving school, music, and more. He also did some very cute things like playing with the food because he did not like it, saying he would eat the flowers, trying to steal to place mat, talking with his mouth fall and crumbs coming out the sides, showing me his muscles *yum*!!* And loads more. Andrew and I (Simone) Talk stax too, from ex artists to their new single to the concert in Melbourne (since I was the only one who had seen it there that day the boys were very interested I hearing my thoughts on the show!!! And naturally I was happy to give them!!!! :o) ) We were also lucky enough to indulge in a few convos that included Toby (from the other side of the room!! *he, he*)!!! :o)

They all then sang “Every time You Cry” A cappalla to us, which certainly did make us cry. They also played us a sneak bit of their ***NEW*** song which they had just finish recorded which weirdly was called “Whisper your name” but still it was Fabulous. We then had to interview them for AM Adelaide, and then had photos with them. (As can be seen below)

It was then 3pm and time for them to go. We told them to look out for us at the concert and then said goodbye. After they left, Simone and I drank the rest of their drinks and stole their napkins *cheeky grins*. Then it too was time for us to go.

From there Simone and I went to the Adelaide Entertainment center to line up for that night. There were around 40 people there. Simone & I separated and went off chatting to our friends to share on our FANtastic experience!!!

And before we knew it, it was 7pm and we were going in. We ran to the front and got 3 row, which was pretty good. Then it hit 8pm and then lights went down and the music started. Everyone ran straight to the front. We ended up getting second row. Kaylan was first, followed my Tina. It was then the band everyone was waiting for, HUMAN NATURE. They had a excellent entrance with ‘Cruel’. They then sang most songs off both albums. It was excellent. There dancing was fabulous, and there outfits stunning. It was definitely the best concert ever. After the concert, Simone and me headed back to the hotel. We met up with the guys after around20 minutes and had more photos etc. They remembered us, which was pretty cool. It was then time to head home and talk about our excellent day. The next day we got up pretty early and headed back to their hotel. We only met up with Andrew and Toby at the hotel and then again at the airport. It was pretty cool though. We spent the rest of the day shopping. We returned home to talk about our experiences and watch more HUMAN NATURE.

The next day it was time to say goodbye (“Don’t say Goodbye…”*he, he* Sorry I just couldn’t resist!!). We didn’t want to leave each other, but found the courage to do so after an hour or so. We knew we were going to meet up again very soon.

“Sally Comes to Town”
On 28th July I headed off on a bus to Melbourne to see the Mighty Crows play Hawthorn. I arrived there on the 29th at 9am. I went to the Victoria Markets and then to the hotel to get refreshed for the game. The game finished at 5pm, and I was not very happy because we lost. I rang Simone and we decided to meet a.s.a.p. I left the hotel by taxi and went to the Crown. I rang Simone and we meet once again. We were very happy to see each other. We decided to go to Pizza Hut for dinner, which was a long walk. But I did not mind. We talked and talked once again. We had pizza and then went back to Crown. We had some trouble catching up with my sister and that, which spoiled it a bit. But we still had fun. We walked around Crown and it was pretty cool.

At 9pm Simone had to go and meet her parents so we said our goodbyes and she was gone once again.

“Simone Returns”
I had been the Melbourne once to see Simone and she had come to Adelaide to see me. It was her turn to come to Adelaide once again. On 2nd September Simone turned up at my house with her Mum at 4pm. She settled in well, and we went straight out the back into the room to watch HUMAN NATURE videos once again. It was a pretty relax week end there, we just hanged and did what we wanted. We tried to include Hn as much as week could by just doing very Human Naturey things!! *he, he* - if that’s possible!?!!
