In 1989, under the presidency of Howard Rosen, the Palm Beach Chapter of the PTG began in earnest to be a positive force in the world of piano technicians. Chapter meetings are currently held on the second Thursday of each month at Chafin Musicenterin Lake Worth, except June, July, August, and December. Meetings focus on practical aspects of piano technology and often include workshops, special speakers, and lively discussions of all aspects of tuning and repairing pianos and serving our customers. One day seminars are a good way for local members to get more in-depth training on a certain aspect of the trade. Piano stores such as , MG Piano Gallery, Steinway Piano Gallery,Kretzer Piano , Bobb's Pianos, and Ray Morgan Piano Company, have also hosted special meetings. In 1996 the Palm Beach Chapter hosted the Florida State Piano Technicians Convention.
