Once And For All


How Did Once and For All come together?

Anthony:we formed in march of 2000. it began as ray on guitar, me (anthony) on bass and kevin on drums. bill (formerly of Bare Knuckle Discussion) joined us in late may. we played our first show in july of 2000 and its been non stop playing shows from then.

What does the name Once and For All mean?

Anthony: the name Once And For All was contrived of song lyrics of a Bare Knuckle Discussion song "Autumn's Call". bill wrote the song for BKD and i got it from there.

Whats new with OAFA?

Anthony:shows...we just played with Where Fear And Weapons Meet. we've been playing with a new band also from greensburg called Through The Shadows. We're looking to re-record and merchandise is on the way.

Who are some of your influences?

Anthony:vision...those guys are really good. good riddance, raised fist, ensign, death by stereo. so many bands influence us. we try to mix everything that we like and make it sound as good as it possibly can.

What kind of style of hardcore would you classify OAFA?

Anthony:uh...we're fast. there are a lot of breakdowns. i guess "new school"..but we try to mix it up.

What got you into hardcore and what do you like most about it?

Anthony: the music conveys a message. it is that simple. i got into hardcore because of some of several things. greensburg and the people i hung out with just lead me to hardcore. its the best and i rather listen to nothing else.

What do you like most about being in OAFA?

Anthony:the people in the band...my friends. jamming...everything.

What do you like most about playing live?

Anthony:going completely nuts

Who writes the lyrics?

Anthony: we all write words. the lyrics are a big part.

What do you think of the general hardcore scene?

Anthony:in general...its doing great. hardcore is going strong.

What is your favorite style of hardcore?

Anthony:anything that is good. anything from omega man to death by stereo.

With the power of internet on the rise, do you think its had a positive effect on the underground scene? Or do you think it makes bands lazy?

Anthony:i think internet usage is a positive thing. it is an easy way to communicate.
