Asian Dub Foundation Community Music (Virgin/EMI) Asian Dub Foundation mix up styles like Alison Holst makes cakes - effortlessly. Community Music is this British based, Asian/Indian group's third album, following Rafi's Revenge. They blend hip hop, traditional Indian bhangra beats, and thrashy guitar, in a style which in the past has often seemed a bit heavy handed, but this time round they have broadened their palette, offering up tunes that range from Rage Against the Machine shouted vocals to groovy hooks a la Chemical Brothers; in the same ballpark as Fundamental, Cornershop, Talvin Singh, but playing a different ball game, making up the rules as they go.
