JIM CAPALDI Short Cut Draw Blood (Edsel/Island/Universal) Jim is a percussionist/singer/composer, and the other half of song writing team Stevie Winwood/Jim Capaldi aka Traffic. Jim co-wrote some of the biggest hits Traffic ever had i.e. 'Paper Sun' and the amazing 'Low Spark Of High Healed Boys'. An amazing acoustic version of 'Low Spark..." appears on Let The Thunder Cry. Short Cut Draw Blood opens with 'Goodbye Love' which is not only a favourite track of mine, but one hell of a great soul song. Both Jim and Nazareth had a hit with Bryant's 'Love Hurts'. You either dig the intimacty of Jim's version, or the rock tinged version of Nazareth's. 'Living On A Marble' is a song about mingling nationalities. Jim's point of view is that not everybody is meant to live together, but he realises the world is getting smaller. 'Boy With A Problem' is a sad tale of a lad that is dying slowly of narcotic suicide.
