COALRANGERS
COALRANGERS
Coast To Coast
(Front Porch Music)
Rock on Gorge, one time for Gringo! The Coalrangers are a bar room boogie band from the South Island, with their musical hearts over the hills and far away west. Their country blues is always worth a jug or three when the city shackles are blown off and the wide open world's in mind. Coast to Coast combines four eighties favourites with the rest of their best from '94 and '95, and the songs include the pumpin' accordion of the theme tune, 'West Coast Bound', and a funky version of Donovan's 'Catch the Wind' that fits the album like a bottleneck. The Coalrangers live in their music, and frequently run for the coast to share it with a vengeance. Yee-ha!
