JOYCE COOLING Playing It Cool (Telarc) A very smooth jazz guitarist-vocalist with strong leanings towards the mellow and the romantic; and that isn't to say Joyce can't jazz it up. Playing It Cool features special session guests multi-percussionist Pete Escovedo and keyboards whiz Ray Obiedo. Vocals are shared with Jay Wagner, in particularly on 'Savannah' and 'Another Time'. Joyce can swing it like Larry Carlton, and even get intimate. The best way to describe Playing It Cool is that it is very much like an electric version of an Earl Klugh album.
