CROSBY STILLS NASH & YOUNG Carry On-Box Set (Atlantic/WEA) Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young are legendary American musical icons. David Crosby came from the Byrds, Stephen Stills and Neil Young were both from Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash was from the British band The Hollies. All members have also played in many other groups and sessions. Although they drew upon many influences, they in turn went onto influence countless musicians World-wide. Below is a list of my favourite songs (not in any preferential order); 'Marakesh Express', 'Teach Your Children', 'Wooden Ships', 'Our House', 'Deja Vu', 'Ohio' (a very powerful protest song at the time of it's release), 'Southern Cross', 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes' (dedicated to Judy Collins), and I do like their version of Joni Mitchell's 'Woodstock', but I prefer Matthew's Southern Comfort's rendition; and also included in this box-set are the artists solo hits i.e. 'Love The One You're With' from Stephen Stills, 'Chicago' from Graham Nash's Songs For Beginners, and 'Drive My Car' from David Crosby's Oh Yes I Can album. Check out Stephen Stills own album Stephen Stills as this includes guest guitarists Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, and has some really great songs on it.
