THE DOORS
Stoned Immaculate
(Warner/Elektra)
This is a Doors 'influences' album, that takes it's title from the 'The Wasp' (L.A. Woman).

Stoned Immaculate features the late Jim Morrison, the three surviving Doors, artists that influenced the Doors (William S. Burroughs, Bo Diddley and John Lee Hooker), and artists that have been influenced by the Doors (Aerosmith, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, Smash Mouth).

Jim as his spaced-out, melodic, poetic self features on 'Under Waterfall', 'Roadhouse Rap', and 'The Cosmic Movie'; and 'Under Waterfall' takes its cue musically from The Soft Parade. Also Jim and John Lee Hooker provide some dirty hip-shaking blues during 'Roadhouse Blues'.

The supreme acid poet William S. Burroughs recites a narrative over a blend of Doors music samples, and even references his own Naked Lunch.

'Break On Through', 'Love Me Two Times', 'Hello I Love You' are all brilliant interpretations, whereas Creed's rendition of 'Riders On The Storm' absolutely glows.
