FREDDY COLE Merry Go Round (Telarc) This is a remarkable studio session of some great late night jazz, featuring Nat King Cole's brother with musicians Cedar Walton, George Mraz, Lew Soloff and others. Freddy, like his late brother is a fantastic vocalist, Freddy's renditions of 'It's Impossible', 'Smoke Get's In Your Eyes' and 'I Remember You' are real stunners, and Freddy also does a sterling job of a couple of his brothers lesser known songs 'I Realize Now/I Miss You So'. One of my favourites off Merry Go Round is the Bill Wither's classic 'Watching You, Watching Me'. Great music, great musicians, great recording! Gazz Click on album image to see larger album cover
