RORY GALLAGHER
RORY GALLAGHER
Calling Card
(Capo/BMG)
One of Rory's most addictive albums, and produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover. My personl picks from Calling Card are the title track, and the struting 'Country Mile' that really opens up. 'Moonchild' is very catchy, and 'Edged In Blue' is well worth checking out.

Defender
(Capo/BMG)
Defender is my favourite of all the Gallagher albums. This is a real return to the blues. 'Loanshark Blues', 'Seven Days' & Sonny Boy Williamson's 'Don't Start Me Talking' are blues through and through, whereas 'I Ain't No Saint' & 'Seems To Me' showcases the rockier side of Rory that we all love. The latter track is classic rock & Rory gives it his all. The sound of overdubbed twin guitars is highly addictive. This is classic Gallagher.
