GITBOX REBELLION
Pesky Digits

GITBOX: Pidgeon for the group's chosen instrument. REBELLION: A subversion of the orthodoxy in the guitar's jazz/blues/rock tradition. More orchestra than ensemble, Gitbox Rebellion shows the influence of guitarcraft guru Robert Fripp in a new context.

Nine acoustic guitars. Nine players, Nothing more, and nothing less.

'Two Iguanas' is a High-Life groove, with all the musical roles acted out on guitar. In the sprawling Pesky Digits Igor Stravinsky meets Pete Townshend, only to find they have a lot in common.

Ambience abounds throughout, and the minimalists get a look in here and there. Not in 'Connecticut Yankee' though. It's a street march, sans brass.

This delightful Nonet features the amazing talents of Nigel Gavin (Nairobi Trio/Blue Botton Stompers et al) and Kim Halliday.
