Gov't Mule Life Before Insanity (Elite Imports) Gutsy rock, searing guitar chords, tight drum rolls, thundering bass, powerful vocals. Does this bring back memories of the 70's? Warren Haynes and Allen Woody are both ex-Allman Brothers and with drummer Matt Abts they make up one of the most creative rock units in America today. This isn't heavy metal; it's rock pure and simple. Influences I can hear are Humble Pie, Bad Company and Nazareth with dashes of jazz meets blues.
