ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY After Ours (Denon) Ann's vocals are warm and silky smooth; her delivery of such standards as 'Old Devil Moon' and Miles Davis' 'All Blues' tends to emulate the crispy, smoothness of a flugelhorn. Her rendition of 'My Funny Valentine' is on a par with Chet Baker's and Julie London's versions. Her own 'The Music You Leave Inside My Mind' leaves you wishing Ann would include more of her own compostions. Producer Danny Weiss has managed to surround Ann with World class musicians i.e. Kenny Barron, Jay Leonhart, Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, and Goerge Jinda.
