CAROLE KING Tapestry (Sony) Carole is one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the pop idiom. Her song writing collaborations with Toni Stern and ex-husband Gerry Goffin are legendary. Artists that have recorded her songs include The Shirelles, Bobby Vee, Everly Brothers, Little Eva, The Drifters, The Chiffons, Hermit Hermits, The Monkees, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, and recently Celine Dion. In 1962 Carole had a hit with 'It Might As Well Rain Until September', but it wasn't until 1971 that she riveted a world audience with her multi-platinum album Tapestry.
