DIANA KRALL
DIANA KRALL
All For You.
(Universal)
Diana is one of the most refreshing voices to ever pay tribute to the great Nat King Cole, and is also an exceptional pianist. Sharing this session is guitarist Russell Malone, with special guest Blue Note pianist Benny Green featuring on 'If I Had You'. Bassist Paul Keller creates a delightful acoustic ambience on All For You with percussionist Steve Kroon featuring on 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams'. There is a beautiful balance between the jazz & blues on All Of You.

Love Scenes
Love Scenes was hot on the heels of Diana's international success All For You (a Nat King Cole tribute) and continues in the trio format with Russell Malone on guitar, Christian McBride on bass (replacing Paul Keller) and Diana on piano/vocals. Love Scenes is full of beautifully crafted vocal standards such as 'Peel Me A Grape', 'They Can't Take That Away From Me' & 'How Deep Is The Ocean'. Love Scenes is an ideal mood setting album and a delight to listen to.

When I Look In Your Eyes
(Universal/Verve)
Lets face it this lady can do no wrong! Since the arrival of the Nat King Cole tribute album All For You, Diana has notched up hit after hit on the jazz register. Her voice is sexy and powerful, and she doesn’t look too bad either. Her talent is unquestionable and her support musicians are always world class!

Diana’s selection of songs for When I Look In Your Eyes has been carefully chosen, not only for this cohesive album package, but also for touring purposes, as these are songs that just about everybody knows. 'Let’s Face The Music & Dance', 'Devil May Care', 'Let’s Fall In Love', et al are household classics. The title track is pure Wes Montgomery patter for Krall’s guitarist Russell Malone, but did you know Andy Williams had a hit with this song! 'Popsicle Toes' is a Michael Franks classic that even The Manhattan Transfer covered. Check out the lush Johnny Mandel string arrangement of 'I’ve Got You Under My Skin'. 'East Of The Sun (& West Of The Moon)' is one of the few trio tracks on 'When I Look In Your Eyes' and to myself this is where Ms Krall trio are truly at their very best. 'The Best Thing For You' will be added onto my next verbal c.v. When I look In Your Eyes includes 'Why Should I Care' as a bonus track, and this song is from the movie True Crime.

This outstanding album will reward you with sublime aural pleasure with frequent aural exposure.
