LAMONT CRANSTON
Roll With Me
(Atomic Theory)
Here is a blues band that really knows how to create a party atmosphere. The Lamont Cranston Blues Band is essentially Pat Hayes with a few friends. Pat plays guitar, harmonica, sings & composes all of the material on Roll With Me. 'Blinded' has captured that legendary early Ray Charles sound; 'What A Party' is pure Texas meets Roscoe Gordon. 'West Side Woman' is reminiscent of Junior Wells meets Magic Sam, and this features Lonnie Brooks bass player Dave 'Biscuit' Miller. Ted Larsen plays lead guitar on 'I Couldn't Put You Down' that has the T-Bone rhythm written all over it. 'Don't Take Me Down Again' is one of the finest soul melodies's I've heard in a long time. Lamont Cranston has it all on Roll With Me and Lamont even gets a personal endorsement from Elwood Blues and Bonnie Raitt
