JOHN MAYALL
JOHN MAYALL
Blues For The Lost Days
(Silvertone)
John Mayall is back with a brand new Bluesbreaker Buddy Whittington, who replaces Coco Montoya as the lead guitarist. Buddy joins the long legacy of Bluesbreaker guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandell, and many other greats. Blues For The Lost Days is full of contrasts; 'Stone Cold Blue' has a jazzy swing, 'All Those Heroes' has got that Bo Diddley riff, and the title track takes you right back to Clapton's debut as a Bluesbreaker. 'I Don't Mind' is reminiscent of 'Boogie Albert' with its boogie woogie piano strut. Buddy absolutely flies through Freddie King's 'Sen-Say-Shun'. Blues For The Lost Days is one of John Mayall's best albums to date!
