LES PRIMITIFS
LES PRIMITIFS
World Musette
(Harmoni Mundi)
The Primitive ones of the future, it is a single orchestra and joyeusement shifted... Return in strength of this legendary group created there are about fifteen year by the guitarist Domenica Cravic, with Daniel Huck (saxophone), Robert Crumb (banjo) with whom it Echo wants to tax well some drawings and late the Didier Roussin (guitar, dobro). For their third disc, the Primitive ones associated the services of Daniel Colin and Fabienne Dondard (accordion), Fay Lovsky (musical saw, ukulélé), of Jean-Michel Davies (battery, xylophone) and of about fifteen guests, Raul Barboza, Robert Santiago, Marc-Édouard Nabe, Herve Legeay and his guitar rabouine... of the musicians come from different backgrounds but which is found around the same idea, their common love of the old Jazz, Blues old-time, Parisian accordion music... of all the popular musics of pre-war period often fallen into the lapse of memory. No the revival here but an original creation which reinvents the past since our present; starting from a whole work of reherche and filing, Dom Cravic composes in a festif spirit of the imaginary realistic songs and instrumental originals with beautiful harmonies and arrangements with small onions, leaving all to these excellent musicians a space to improvise. It is not musiquette; that plays, that swingue and it is stuffed of humour and poetry. Essential, of race! Chronicle of Francis Couvreux.
