Scheherezade: Riccardo Muti, Philhadelphia Orchestra
(Seraphim)
I love this rendition of this very romantic masterpiece. I've especially always enjoyed the violin solos during 'Scheherezade'. The violin soloist is not named on Muti's awesome interpretation. What is really important is how you feel about this work, and how it performed, and the Philhadelphia Orchestra are magnificient. Also included is one of my favourite Respighi works 'The Fountains Of Rome'. If you enjoy this version, I suggest you also check out Eugene Ormandy's recordings of Reshpigi's great works.
