SATURNINO Testa Di Basso (Polygram/Universal) Electric bass player Saturnino Celani is the new force in Italian jazz, and is right up there with the likes of Stanley Clarke, Victor Bailey and Marcus Millar. There is a lot of humour and novelty in Saturnino's playing and this adds a lightness to jazz not often heard. For a ranges of styles there is jazz, funk, soul, acid-jazz, rock and comedy. If you get a chance to find this album somewhere check out the tracks 'Prolemi Di Parcheggio' and 'Il Mio Tempo'. Saturnino's previous album Zelig is also just as hot!
