MICHAEL W. SMITH Worship www.junior.co.nz After Michael W Smith's last project, it was obvious that he was heading in a new direction. Over the years he has bought us many great songs from 'Place In This World' to 'Friends, I Am Sure' to 'I Will Be Here For You' and while he has mad his mark with these songs, maybe he his better known for his worship songs, 'Great Is The Lord' and 'Agnus Dei'. GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning artist, Michael W. Smith, recorded his first worship album on June 1st at the Carpenter's Home Church in Lakeland, Florida. The live worship experience was recorded as Smith, supported by a 20-member choir, led worship for close to 10,000 people. The album, simply titled Worship was released to stores on September 11, 2001. For Smith, this event was not about recording an album, but about leading people in worship of God and seeing lives changed. "I don't want this to be just another 'recording', it's about pure worship, period," says Smith.
