BILL WYMAN'S RHYTHM KINGS
Any Way The Wind Blows
(BMG)
This album opens with the J.J. Cale influenced title track 'Any Way The Wind Blows', and it is a song J.J. should record.

The Classics 4 classic 'Spooky' follows, and that features the velvet vocals of British songtress Beverly Skeete.

The legendary Georgie Fame shares half the vocals on 'Any Way The Wind Blows', and on 'Walking One & Only' that showcases the dynamic guitar wizardry of Albert Lee and Martin Taylor.

'Mojo Boogie' sounds like it should have been recorded by Koko Taylor, and this features Procol Harem's founder/vocalist Gary Brooker on piano.

Paul Carrack of Mike & The Mechanics and Ace fame features on 'Too Late'.

'Every Sixty Seconds' features Chris Rea on slide guitar.

Beverly shines glows on the funky 'He's A Real Gone Guy'.

The legendary Mick Taylor (John Mayall's Blues Breakers & Rollin' Stones) features on slide guitar during 'A True Romance'.

Eric Clapton appears on the jazz standard 'Gee Baby Ain't I Good To You'.

Dave Hartley features on piano during most of this album, and his honky tonk piano performance is outstanding during 'When Hollywood Goes Black & Tan'. Following the twenties boogie style is the thirties influenced 'Struttin' Our Stuff' performed by Mike Sanchez; and 'Struttin' Our Stuff' was the title of the previous Rhythm King's album.

Any Way The Wind Blows is an outstanding album worthy of your repeated aural exposure.
