Kina Cosper, former member of the R&B group Brownstone and now DreamWorks recording artist, released her first album July 18th. However the first single from that LP has been out since May. Despite this, not that many people know of her mainly because radio hasn't embraced "Girl From The Gutter" like it should have. Some speculate that the talented new soul artist Jill Scott, whose album is ironically entitled Who Is Jill Scott?, is drawing most of the attention. This maybe the case because her album is rising quickly on the Billboard Heatseekers charts and is in the 100 Bestsellers at Amazon.com. Kina debuted at #14 last week and fell to #20 this week. But with all the carbon copy music out today I'm sure there is enough room for Kina to shine as well. If Macy Gray can do it, she most definitely can as well. On the good side 55,000 copies of the single and album have already been sold. She has already appeared on the Jay Leno show and Vh-1's "The List". She is also doing promo shows all over. It's gonna be a long road to the top, but a road that I believe this artist can take if people give her a chance. GO PICK UP THE ALBUM IN STORES NOW!!!!
