For those of you that missed Jake's appearance on the Howard Stern show, here's a summary of it:
Howard decided to make the show a drinking show because they said that they've always wanted to do it, but the show is so early in the morning that they never got to. On it, they were drinking while interviewing people from the MTV music awards. They got heavily drunk and they right before Jake came on, they talked to Kate Hudson and called her "the son of Goldie Hawn." They were even doing breathilizers on themselves. Anyway, Jake came on, and they couldn't stop calling him "the son of Bob Dylan." And they also kept asking about Bob. One of the guys on the show started singing a Bob song, and Howard kept yelling at him. So Howard said to Jake, "Is this the worst interview you've ever had?" And Jake half jokingly said, "Well it's definately up there. " :P It was so funny. Then later, when Jake got up to leave, they spilled beer on him. Then, they cut back to when they were sober. The next day prob, so they played back the tape of the drinking show, and commented on it. Howard kept apologizing about being so rude to Jake and you could see the whole clip twice. Robin kept asking Jake over and over if he was married. lol. And then they showed someone trying to get the beer off of Jake's jacket. Jake was blushing the whole time, you could tell he was very uncomfortable there, but he was a really, really good sport about it.

Here's another article about the Wallflowers opening for the Who, from pollstar.

It has been confirmed that the previous tour dates have been changed to Madison Square garden. This has been confirmed by an article at MTV: Wallflowers Talk "Breach," Will Open Who Shows

9/15/00

Most of the dates on pollstar have been changed to Madison Square Garden dates. The only venue that hasn't changed is Bimbo's 365 club. These Madison Square dates are for The Who/Wallflowers. Because the shows were already planned for the Who they have already gone on sale. Because this is such an abrupt change, we will be leaving the tour dates section of our site as it was before the dates were changed to MSG. We will not change the tour dates section until the dates are confirmed . I don't know if it the page was in the process of updating the page or something. We'll keep you posted here. Check back for more news. Pollstar

To check the mtv schedule go here. and click on "this week on MTV" They've shown the video during MTV's TRL wannabes and during VH1's music video block and new video block. If you want to vote for Sleepwalker to be on TRL go here then click on TRL

I also saw a commercial for the MTV video music awards and they showed a clip of Heroes. I'm not positive if they will be at the awards show because I just caught a glimpse of it, but you might want to watch the awards show Sept. 7th anyway, or you can look for the commercial.

MTV's First listen will be taped Sept. 9th featuring the Wallflowers and it will include a performance by the band.

VH1 will be making a future episode of Behind the Music featuring the Wallflowers.

8/23/00

Those of you who tuned into TRL today like I did, probably already know that the Wallflowers pushed back the premiere of their "Sleepwalker" video. Carson said that they weren't quite finished with the video but when it is finished, it will still be premiered on the show and the band will be there. It may take a couple of weeks.

8/22/00

Apparently, the person I talked to from MTV gave me the wrong information because I watched TRL today and Carson said that "Sleepwalker" will be premiered tomorrow (Wednesday the 22nd) and that The Wallflowers will actually be on the show!! (check your local listings for the show. Where I am TRL is on 3:00 to 4:30 et)

8/18/00

I just called the number for TRL and the person I spoke to said that the video will be premiered on Thursday the 24th and it's the video only. They're not going to be there in person. But maybe they're going to call in like they did for Heroes. If you want to be in the studio audience for that show, call (212)398-8549

8/18/00

THE VIDEO FOR SLEEPWALKER WILL BE PREMIERED ON TRL NEXT WEEK!!!!! also check for it on the radio. I just emailed my local radio station and they said it was great and it was going to be played next week too!!!!

HERE'S A NEW ARTICLE FROM MTV:

If you've been waiting patiently and humming such hits as "One Headlight" for the four years that have elapsed since The Wallflowers delivered their breakthrough second album, the wait will soon be over. The L.A.-based rockers are due to deliver the long-awaited follow-up to 1996's "Bringing Down The Horse" in September when "Breach" arrives. The album's first single, "Sleepwalker," should hit stores and radio in early August. Other songs on the eleven-track album include "Wasteland," "Delivered," and "Hand Me Down" as well as "Murder 101," a call-and-response duet between Jakob Dylan and Elvis Costello. The album, co-produced by singer-songwriter Michael Penn and Macy Gray producer Andy Slater, is The Wallflowers' first effort since their "Bringing Down The Horse" went on to sell 4.1 million copies. In the downtime, the band turned up on the soundtrack to 1998's "Godzilla" covering David Bowie's "Heroes." When "Breach" arrives, the album will also boast guest appearances from Pixie-gone-solo Frank Black, guitarist Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers fame, and Aimee Mann-Fiona Apple producer Jon Brion. The Wallflowers are set to kick off a North American tour this fall.
