hey, i just got back from the wallflowers concert, and let me tell u, it kicked ass. they had a lot of energy, and put up with a lot of stuff they weren't used to, like spinning stages, and a nasty rodeo smell. jakob even mentioned, "this isn't the first time we've been on stage spinning, but this is the first time we've been on a stage that's spinning." here's a makeshift
setlist:

Sleepwalker
Some Flowers Bloom Dead
6th Avenue Heartache
Letters From the Wasteland
Hand Me Down
Three Marlenas
Laughing Out Loud
I've Been Delivered
One Headlight
 Heroes
The Difference
(a cover song that I can't remember the name to)

and maybe not in that order

i had to sit through about 2 hours of boring rodeo junk, like calf roping and barrel racing before the wallflowers came out. the stage was circular, and it spun around so that everyone could get a glimpse of the band from the front. they came out on a pickup truck and got on the stage. they went into sleepwalker and it was refreshing to see the crowd recognize it. it didn't really get a lot of airplay here, except on mtv or vh1. the band did well to mix up the first album with the new one. one headlight rocked. it sounded the best, and was just amazing. every other song pretty much went according to plan. they sounded similar to the album versions. it seemed as if i would say to myself, "i wish they would play this song," and the next song would be just that. it amazed me when they played heroes. it sounded so cool. and for the life of me, i can't remember the name of that last song. jakob said, "This song isn't ours. But it's as good as if it were." it was a good concert all around. the announcer said they were going to europe after this. we'll see... anyways, i was just glad to see them, and i hope they come back soon. thanks.

the wallflowers show at the san antonio rodeo kicked ass! as a huge fan of the wf's, i enjoyed it very much and thought that the concert was full of energy and that they played a really great set. at the end, they rode their pick-up truck around the arena, and i managed to push my way to the front and touch jakob dylan's hand! not only did i have the time of my life listening to the music, but i discovered that jakob is even more sexy and gorgeous up close! and yes, those blue eyes are incredible. it was the best concert that i have ever been to. it was really great!

Mine was at the rodeo last monday. I was asking the security and the people who were working the rodeo if the wallflowers were going to have a meet-and-greet. it turns out they didn't. right after i found out i was going up these secluded stairs off the side from the crowd right outside the arena. I was dissapointed and was about to leave to get ready to see the guys preform. i looked up and this guy was running down the stairs with a beanie hat (like a skiier thing) who resembled mike. I wasn't sure who it was but i just yelled out "Mike!" and he was already down the stairs and slightly turned around. my dad was with me but didnt know who he was, and asked "hey are you mike?". at that point i saw a good look at who it was and sure enough it was! I asked for an autograph and he rushed up the stairs to give me one. he signed my breach cd and asked who to make it out to. i told him my name and he autographed it while asking me how i was doing, etc. he looked like he was really in a rush so i didnt want to bother him with a pic, but he was very friendly. he have me a pat on the shoulder and left. it all happened in like 15 seconds. it was funny because when i went to my seat this girl behind me asked me about it because i showed someone the autograph. she started following me around after that like i had wallflowers conncections.
