Her romances
Two Oscars, a Gustavo, and an Osvaldo are the names that the public has known the Barranquilleran artist to have been with; each have been her muse of inspiration in his own time, and according to her, all, except Osvaldo, were unfaithful to her. In her interviews she has never admitted that she has done it, but you only need to read one of the verses of INEVITABLE, a song that she wrote herself, to deduce that she also has done it.
TWO OSCARS
Her first love was Oscar Pardo, a neighbor. She was 13 and he was 15. In October 1990 they were introduced by Erika and Tatiana, who were their mutual friends. He courted her for 2 months and in December he longed for something new, and sealed it with a kiss. During their romance, the couple enjoyed the usual boyfriend/girlfriend things, going to parties, going out to eat, going to the beach, and he delighted in hearing her sing on her staircase. The relationship ended in 1992. Oscar assures that she was ever unfaithful to her, but curiously Shakira always says in her interviews that her first betrayal in love occurred by her first boyfriend. Tv y Novelas was able to establish that she referrs to Monica Gonzales, a young girl from heir block that followed Oscar and was the reason the couple broke up. Even so, Shakira and Oscar got back together, but the second time didn't work either, so they mutually decided to break up and they remain friends today. The next year, love touched the artist's heart again. She was on a beach in Barranquilla, while she played volleyball, that she met her second Oscar, a young university student with the last name Ulloa. He had the courage to go up to her and express his admiration. She was a little disconcerted because he didn't ask for her name or address. Later Oscar turned up at her house after leaving, he declared his love, and she accepted it. In 1993, Shakira moved to Bogota to open a new door and he did the same with the intention of continuing at the university. The romance lasted a month more and then finished. Like with her first boyfriend, hey tried it again but it didn't work. They still remain friends.

In 1995 they said that she had a relationship with Danilo Santos but both denyed it. What is certain is that the couple did goout to eat several times, but a relationship was far away. They met the year before at the Club del Nogal de Bogotá, when she won the Diamond Prism award. They say that at that very second he became interested. Only a few months later he was able to set up a conversation with her when they bumped into each otherat a dance club in Miami. He was very gallant and that pleased her very much. They started going out the next day and so they became boyfriend and girlfriend. The relationship counted on the disapproval of the public and the press, since Osvaldo was famous for wooing famous and successful women to win popularity. He accompanied her on several trips when she appeared when she could on the TV studio for La Viuda de Blanco (The White Widow), a soap that she played the lead for in Colombia. Since September 98 Shakira's heart remained alone, although she says that every day she falls in love and there is always someone around. At the end of that year she discreetly implied that she was flirting with an American young man that didn't speak Spanish, but sources close to her assure that his interest came and went and now she's with Antonio De la Rua.
