Myke Hideous was born October 15 in Paterson NJ. As a young 15 year old Myke found punk rock music and at 21 he found goth and not more then a year later Empire Hideous was born it didnt take long before Empire Hideous was the premier goth band in the NYC metropolitan area. Empire Hideous has performed in venues all over the U.S.A but in December of 1997 almost 10 years after Myke started the band Myke was calling it quits. Through out the 10 years Empire Hideous was togeather there were a few line-up changes and no recording deal Myke felt it was time to move on Their last show was Febuary 15 1988 at The Bank in NYC that show sold out with over 750 fans to say good bye to a legendary goth band that is Empire Hideous.
Shortly after Myke ended Empire Hideous he received a phone call from Jerry Only of the Misfits asking him to join the Misfits and with in 10 days Myke learnt about 30 songs, packed all his shit, put it in storage and got a passport and then Myke left with the Misfits for a European and South American tour.
For the summer of 1998 Myke sang for the Misfits all over Europ and South America. But when Myke and the Misfits returned from the 2 month tour Myke was fired by Jerry and Michale Graves was rehigherd. That experience left Myke with nothing but a not so very high option of the Misfits.
Not to long after Myke got back he started SS99 a very cloke and dagger type of punk rock band a very Spy Vs Spy. SS99 has a world all their own where everything is a conspiracy and everyone is a secret agent. With drummer Byron Barbieri and bassist Daniel Esser comes a band that is a must see.
In November of 1999 Myke was asked by former drummer of Empire Hideous Rafael Angel to bring back the band for a few shows and in the end Myke decided not to have a reunion but to start over with a whole new line-up but unfortunately Myke was hospitalized and ended up getting a surgery which prevented him from singing. But in 2000 Myke started Empire Hideous back up with a whole new line-up J~Sin Trioxin on guitar, Byron Barbieri on drums, Daniel Esser on bass, and Tom Hatez on guitar. They will be playing shows but so far no CD in the works so keep your fingers crossed!
