NeufTone Effects

Under development at NeufTone is a treble boost pedal. It will be built off the design of the Dallas Rangemaster, which was an obscure British pedal made briefly in the 60s. It is very rare today, and is not very widely known, but it is sometimes considered the "secret weapon" of the British sound. Eric Clapton used one when he virtually defined guitar tone with the Bluesbreakers. Rory Gallagher used one as well, and they were a key element of tone-maestro Brian May's rig. Basically it is a treble boost, that can be used to overdrive the front end of a tube amp, with a little more high end balance. It also incorporates a specially selected Germanium transistor, which adds a very subtle warm analog distortion to the sound. A unique pedal. I am adding to the circuit a number of features. First of all it will be constructed in a solid sturdy cast aluminum box, as opposed to the flimsy folded metal of the original. Second, it will have a Fulltone 3PDT stomp switch to allow for both true bypass (for tone retention when bypassing the effect) and an LED status indicator. Third it will incorparate a new miniswitch circuit of my design that will alter a capacitor value to give you both the vintage treble boost sound of the original Rangemaster, or a fuller, bassier, more conventional boost for traditional preamp overdrive duties. My design name is the NeufTone RangeBoost. Once the prototype is completed, you will probably be able to order one custom made for you, for 200 dollars shipped. I will keep you informed.
