Bridge: Chrome Wilkinson tremolo.
Pickups: Two Lindy Fralin P90s, reverse wound and reverse polarity.
Controls: One Tele-style 3 way blade pickup selector switch, one volume and one tone pot with amber bonnet knobs, and side mounted Switchcraft jack, all in a rear routed cavity.
Tone: Friggin' awesome.
How does it sound? Jimi Hendrix probably had psychedelic visions of this guitar. He would have played it had it been around back then, its that good. Thanks to Lindy Fralin all that great vintage tone is there, and even though P90s are thought of as different beasts than strat p'ups (and they ARE) this guitar always sends me off unconsciously into Jimi territory. Stunning. Many guitar techs and soundmen have raved about its tone. It is best for clean (rich and warm, never harsh) or slight overdrive. It also pairs up nicely with a Germanium powered vintage fuzz into a tube amp. It has a great bluesy warm tone, but thanks to the woods, it also has an element of that classic Fender pop and ring to it. A very balanced tone, extremely usable. It plays wonderfully...a very comfortable guitar. The swamp ash body is light and ergonomic, it feels very nice strapped on. The neck is comfortably fast but not unsubstantial like an Ibanez or other super thin neck. A very unique and great all-around guitar.
I will recreate this guitar for you for $1099. You can get virtually any options on it you want, though. Different pickups (would not suggest that, but I can get them), different woods, hard tail bridge, etc. Just let me know what you are interested in. Other body styles can be had too.
