Mark, Christian and Ste sing "The Ghost of Me and You"
(CNN)
-- Mark Barry, Christian Burns and Ste McNally make up the British pop
trio BBMak. They have tight harmonies and youthful good looks, but don't let
that fool you: As the guys told "Showbiz Today Reports" correspondent Jodi
Ross, they're not a boy band.
"We don't mind being called a boy band, (but) we don't see ourselves as a boy
band," says Barry. "We write our own material, we play instruments. If you
come to see a show -- it's more of a rock show. We play our instruments on
stage, (and) there's no dancing."
It's not that they can't dance, they add -- they can -- but what they're
really about is the music.
Their hit single "Back Here" topped the charts in the UK and Japan before breaking out last spring in the U.S. Now they're releasing "Ghost of You and Me," the third single from their debut album "Sooner or Later." The album has been on the U.S. charts since its release last year. For this week's "Showbiz Sessions," BBMak performed "Ghost of You and Me" on the rooftop terrace of the Hudson Hotel in New York.
