"We've already started writing songs," says band member Christian Burns. "We'd like to have the first single off the new album out in January." He says the new disc won't veer far from the first. "It will be a natural progression for us. There's no point in changing because we're relatively new still."
Meanwhile, the group, which includes Mark Barry and Stephen "Ste" McNally, is joining 'N Sync (news - web sites) as opening act on the band's current tour.
"We're going to do 13 dates with them up and down the East coast, including Giant Stadium, which is going to be amazing," says Burns. After their stint with 'N Sync ends, the group will remain stateside for five weeks "to do a bunch of radio shows around the country, then we're going to head back to the U.K. to release 'The Ghost of You,' the third single off our album."
They just shot MTV's Total Request Live and will do a guest appearance on the Disney Channel series "Even Stevens," which airs June 15. On the latter show, Burns says, "We're playing ourselves. It's like we're performing on a radio show, and we get interviewed."
