THEY are the British boyband who have made it big in America - they supported Britney Spears on her US tour - but they are still relative unknowns in Britain.
However BBMak have a very strange way of showing any sort of affection for fellow Brit artists. Even those they will be touring with shortly. The group - Mark Barry, 22, Christian Burns, 24, and Steven McNally, 22 - will be supporting Mel C in February. Strangely they have very definite views on Sporty Spice. And not all of them nice.
When Jessica caught up with the band in Los Angeles they launched an astonishing attack. "She is not my type at all," said Christian, who had the misfortune to briefly date free-loading IT Girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.
"She has put on loads of weight as well," added Christian. "We've heard she is a real rock chick and swears on stage now. Why? And we've heard she gets drunk. She will always be Sporty Spice to us. But I don't think she likes being Sporty any more.
"I can imagine her fans are all butch women. We attract mostly a mixed crowd."
The group, whose single Back Here is out soon, are mainly nice lads, so good luck to them. But who knows what Mel C will say after she sees their comments.
