Founder and head of Carreira Music Productions. Jonathan recieved his Bachelor of Music, Education in 1992 from Northern Illinois University, and his Master of Music (emphasis in composing and arranging) from NIU in 1994. He has worked professionaly as an arranger for 11 years and has used Finale to engrave his music for the last nine. Jonathan taught high school music for seven years before leaving to pursue music full time. He has arranged music for musical theater, wind ensembles, marching bands, jazz bands, symphony orchestras, studio orchestras, jazz combos, rock bands (many genres), pep bands, chamber groups, and vocal ensembles. Additionaly, he performs on the bassoon, contrabassoon, Saxophones, clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, euphonium, piano, recorder, and even the rare Heckelphone. His music has been performed on national television and in places as diverse as Walt Disney World, the Indianapolis 500, Chicago radio, and DeKalb, Illinois! His arrangements have even been performed internationaly on USO tours by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band. He has performed with such artists as Diane Schuur, Marie Osmond, Matt Catingub, Dr. Billy Taylor, Bob James, Toni Tenille, and many others. In his private time, he teaches bassoon and Saxophone lessons.
