Graeme and Steve
from Halo

11 April 2002

So, how saintly are Halo?
Graeme: We’re very very saintly indeed. We drink Lemonade!
Steve: We’re as saintly as Roger Moore was in ‘The Saint’.

What's the best gig you've played?
G: London Astoria
S: I agree

And the worst?
G: Barfly in London. We played there before we were signed and it was a nightmare. There were too many a+r and indusry people there
S: I agree.... No, don’t just write that I agree again!

Who or what have been your main inspirations?
G: Nirvava. I first got into them when I was 15, I'm now 24 and they still inspire me as much as ever. They are the band that inspired me to pick up a guitar and start playing.
S: David Bowie. He’s at the cutting edge all the time.

Oh right, do you like that film the Labyninth then?
S: Yeaaaaaaah I do.

Which new bands do you rate?
S: Cooper Temple Clause
G: King Adora

Oh my god, we love King Adora!
We’ve been asked to find out what you think of The Cooper Temple Clause. You obviously like them if you rate them as a good new band, you’re also on tour with them at the moment, so how do they rate as people?

S: They're all really nice. We get on really well.

What do you think of Peterborough?
G: I don’t know, we haven’t really had much chance to see it yet.

But a friend of ours said they spotted you around town, what were you doing?
G: Oh, we were going round a friends house to eat fajitas!!

Yummy. We like them!
You have to be in a good mood to write a happy song and a sad mood to write a sad song. Is a song better if it's happened to you?
G: Yes, it will be more truthful. You can use introspection, and they are always the best songs. Writing from personal experience also tends to make better songs.

Would you strip for Playboy (or the equivalent of...) for a Million Pounds?
G: If I couldn't make a million any other way then yes!!.
S: Yeah for a laugh. I would even do it for £10

Actually that was going to be our next question, we do actually have £10 right now if you want to......you know......get 'em off!!!
Right, moving swiftly on....
We've just had our most embarrassing moment, but whats been yours?

G: When I was led back to my hotel room half naked by a hotel porter when we were supporting Rachel Stamp.

What do you hope the year 2002 holds for you?
S: Success
G: .....and lot of drinking

Right, this is the quick fire round now. It seemed like a good idea at the time – it doesn’t anymore. Just choose one or the other.
Daddy or Chips?

Both: (looking at us a bit funny while we desperately try to explain the advert and hope they remember it) Chips?

Black of White?
Both: Black

Blonde or Brunette?
Both: erm....er....Brunette

Toast or Cereal?
Both: Toast

Tea or Coffee?
S: Neither.

Lemonade perhaps?
G: Yeah
S: .....or Beer

Kilroy or Trisha?
S: It’s got to be Kilroy
G: Trisha. It’s always good for a laugh

Preferred height for a girlfriend – 4ft 3" or 6ft 9"?
G: 4ft 3" 'cos at least you can lift them up to your own height and do stuff to them!! 6ft 9" would be impossible

Sweet or Sour?
S: Don’t they both go together?

Not in this game they don’t!
S: Ok, Sweet
G: Sour

Gold or silver?
Both: Silver

Metal or Punk?
Both: ....erm.....Punk

Thank God - hallelujah! If you had said Metal we would of had to of punched you!
