How did you all meet?
Colin:
The guy who manages us brought us together. We were originally in two different bands but weren't really getting anywhere so he had the idea of all of us joining together and it worked really well.
Where did the name 100 Reasons come from?
C: We liked the word 'hundred' so had an idea that we
could use that. Then one day we were looking on the
internet for inspiration and saw a list of 200 reasons for something, so we just used the number 100 instead of
200 and that was it.
So what do you think of Peterborough?
C:
It's cool. It's a really good venue to play in,
but kind of weird aswell. The people here are
completely insane, which is always a good thing.
Larry:I think that it's the smallest we've played in
for a while, but we prefer playing smaller venues, the
crowd get into it more.
What's the biggest venue that you've played?
C:London Arena. We supported One Minite Silence and
Nine Inch Nails there last year.
You're on tour at the moment. Are you enjoying it?
C:Yeah. We always enjoy it and we get to meet all
our fans which is good!
Where's the next stop?
C:Oxford tomorrow. We're really looking forward to
it. We've been there a few times and it's always the
best gig.
L:The venue is quite strange and in a very unusual location, it's sort of stuck to the side of this buliding but we always get the
best response there so it's good.
Have you got any festival appearances lined up?
L:Hopefully Reading
C:We've never played there, but have heard it's
a really good gig to do.
How do you feel about winning Kerrangs! best
newcomer award?
C:Very surprised
L:You know how usually whoever has won is
told beforehand? Well we weren't! We didn't expect it
at all and were so shocked when it was announced. It
was an amazing experience just being there. We were
sitting at our table with Marilyn Manson one side of
us and Slipknot on the other and it was so surreal, we
were just like 'what the fuck are we doing here? So to
win an award was brilliant.
Slipknot! Wow! Did you get to see them without
their masks on?
C:Yeah, and they were all surprisingly normal looking!
L:They're younger than you would expect aswell. Most
of them are only in their 20s.
You toured with Idlewild and Turn last year, what
was that like?
C:Really good, a great experience aswell. We're big
fans of both bands so going on tour with them was
brilliant. We've become really good friends with them now, I think I've still got Roddy's number on my
mobile actually.
Oh my god, Can we have it?
C:No!
Can we have backstage passes for the Reading
Festival then?
C:NO!!!
What do you think of some of the bands around at
the moment? Have you got any favourites
C:Really like Weezer's new stuff. Rachel Stamp are
pretty good aswell. But that new Shaggy song 'It
wasn't me', is definitely a favourite at the moment
Are there any new bands around at the moment that
you are really impressed with?
C:Douglas who are supporting us on this tour are
really brilliant. We don't get muct time to listen
out for new bands though.
Laura is a bit of an obsessive King Adora fan. What do you think of them?
L:I really hate them, and those short tops they wear
just look really stupid, especially with all that
belly button fluff they have - sorry!
Are you planning on releasing any new stuff soon?
C:No. We're never releasing anything again it's too much hard work.

They had potential to be such nice people, and if it
wasn't for their compulsive lying, insulting KA and
not giving us Roddy's phone number we might have still
thought they were
Message for Colin from the band - we know what you did
and we're not impressed! You're not funny, you're not
clever and dont think we can't find out where you
live!! However, we may be able to forgive you in
exchange for a few Reading backstage passes!
