We think that you guys are really great. In fact, you are one of our favourite bands. With this in mind how do you suggest that we go about trying to flatter the pattern?
It's not hard to flatter us. We're very appreciative. You can tell us our fingernails are nicely groomed, we have excellent taste in coctails and that we smell nice.

Do you think that you are part of the rock revolution that seems to be happening at the moment?
Yes, we are part of the rock revolution but the real revolution isn't the one being reported in the magazines or on the radio. We make music to incite response, action, love, thought which is always a revolutionary act.

Who are your all time heroes, and why?
Some all time heroes of mine are Fats Domino, Brian Wilson, Edith Wharton, Ibsen, Kenneth Anger, Gene Clark, Orson Welles, Peter Cook and Peter Sellers

Cheap and nasty manufactured groups dominate the singles and album charts in England. The worst offenders are called Girls Aloud, One True Voice and The Cheeky Girls. These groups filled the top three chart positions over Christmas, and were the result of a TV programmes’ attempt to find the next big thing. Do you have any American equivalents and if so what do you think of them?

Of course we do have those things. Somehow it's easier to avoid noticing them here in America though. So easy that in fact I can't think of any of them now, except uh Aaron Carter. He is a younger brother of a BackStreet Boy and has a song about how great the USA is (despite what "they" all say).

You have a song called ‘Nothing of Value’, what does this song refer to?

That song is about what hope seems like to someone who is hopeless. About not caring and hating the fact that you don't care.

NME, when reviewing your single ‘Fragile Awareness’ likened you to the Hives, The Datsuns and The D4. They also described you as a pretender to ‘the scuzz-punk throne’. Do you think that is a fair description of yourselves and how would you personally descibe your music?

It's no fun to describe your own band but I don't dig the term scuzz-punk and don't care to sit on that throne. I do dig the Hives, D4 and The Datsuns so I like being "likened" to them, although I think we're different enough to stand on our own merits. I describe our music as rocknroll and punk rock, hopefully with some emotion and intensity. it's better not to get too complicated. We're not into a billion different schools of thought and genres.

You have toured with KaitO as one of your support bands over here. What were they like to tour with, and do you have any plans to tour over here in the near future?
KaitO were great. It was great touring with them. We don't have any immediate plans to come back over to the UK but would love to soon. In the spring maybe..?

We are in awe of your ability to strut to perfection on stage and put on a fantastic show. Is this all part of an act or does your goddamn sexiness come naturally!?
Uh, its not an act in the sense that it's fake but when we get up in front of people to play our music we are performing. It's real, it's who we are. We aren't playing at being anyone except ourselves.

You are also the founder of Lookout Records. What would be your top tips to anyone wanting to start a record label?
I didn't found the label although I've been involved with it since the very early days. My tip to anyone starting a label is to have a great band to put out first and foremost. A great label is only as good as it's best release. I think starting a label is a last resort for when you know an amazing band isn't going to be signed by anyone else.
