ben was born in middlesex on november 22nd, 1981. he attended charterhouse school in surrey and bedales school in hampshire, then left after his GCSE's to join a1.

before joining a1, ben was head chorister of st. margarets westminster abbey. he sung for royalty and on tv shows, and also featured on 2 classical CDs.

ben has acheived more then the average 19 year old! he has writing credits on 18 a1 tracks and the group have had 2 uk number ones so far. a1's 2000 number 6 hit 'like a rose' was written by ben when he was just 16 years old. the band have won several awards including the 'best british newcomer' brit and a smash hits award for 'best video' (take on me).

ben's future looks bright, as a1 are currently working on their follow up to huge-selling 'the a list' which according to paul is influenced by rock music! ben insists he will always be a member of a1, but even if they break up ben is sure to still be in high demand and be successful as a solo star.

looks: 10/10 with his beautiful blue eyes, gorgeous tanned body, sweet smile and the famous curtains, ben is hotter than hot! i was lucky enought to meet him (and give him a kiss!) and he was even more gorgeous in the flesh

talent: 10/10 multi-talented ben has the voice of an angel, writes amazing songs, is a brilliant dancer and can play 3 intruments. he is very intelligent too, as he got 7 A's and 3 B's in his GCSEs!

love rating: 10/10 ben insists he is single at the mo, but it's hard to believe someone as nice as him hasn't been snapped up already! ben says he broke up with the love of his life recently (ex-word on the street member carolynne good who co-wrote a1 track 'i'll take the tears' with him). judging from the ballads he has written, ben would be the perfect boyfriend. but hands off, he's gonna be mine! (i wish)
