mark was born in kingston, surrey on november 7th, 1978. he went to school near his home in worcester park, surrey and left after his GCSE's.

before joining a1, mark was part of his parent's band. they performed on cruise ships around the world so this gave mark a lot of experience of performing.

mark is one of the main songwriters in a1, having writing credits on 16 a1 tracks. in a1 he has had 2 uk number ones and 6 other top 10 hits so far. the band have won several awards including the 'best british newcomer' brit and a smash hits award for 'best video' (take on me).

mark's future looks bright, as a1 are currently working on their follow up to previous album 'the a list'. according to paul, the new album is influenced by rock music! mark appears to be the most loyal member of a1, it's unlikely he will be quitting any time soon, but even if the band do part ways, mark has the talent to be a sucessful singer/ songwriter.

looks: 8/10 mark is certainly one of the hottest musicans in the country, with his well-toned body, sparkly eyes and his famous 'sidies'!

talent: 9/10 multi-talented mark has the strongest voice in the band, writes brilliant songs, is a great dancer and is a skilled pianist, always playing piano or keyboard when the band perform live

love rating: 9/10 mark tends to keep his love life quiet, not much is known about his past or present girlfriends. Mark is a lovely guy, when I met him he was really sweet (he called me 'babe'!) so i think he'd make a brilliant boyfriend.
