The Intelligent Audio Legion is a collective of Houston’s best progressive DJ’s and producers. The IAL roster consists of nothing but exceptional artists who are completely dedicated to pushing the sound of progressive house, trance, breaks, techno or anything that stretches the boundaries of genre classification. Each member of the collective has been handpicked based on his mixing skills and style. While all of the IAL DJs are pushing the same sound, each one possesses a unique style by placing stronger emaphasis on certain sounds. While each of the members of the IAL have been around for quite some time the collective has only been in existence since spring 2001. At the time Houston was known for Drum & Bass, techno, and house music. The progressive sound was being pushed aside do to a lack of collaboration between the artists. The original members of what became known as the IAL came to realize the need of an alliance. With a year of the members agressively promoting eachother and the collective they jumped into the event production field. The first event was a huge success packing in hundreds of people to showcase a night of IAL Progressive. Members of the IAL regularly recieve promos and white labels, unheard anywhere else in Houston. They also produce their own tracks frequently working together. "Void" is the recently began producing duo of Will Peairson & Bill Utley. The duo currently has a remix of Sasha's "Wavy Gravy" being considered for a B side release.
