While cleaning out the old cedar chest.
Dolls and teddy bears I did find, all
wrapped up in white tissue paper.
Upon my face, I am sure a smile did beam.
A tiny race car still had wheels intact.
As I ventured on through the chest,
Some treasures found were old pictures
along with the tiny tea set used when
you played house.
In the quiet house today, I only need reflect
and laughter and giggles I do hear
Sounds of days gone by. Sounds of
happiness that will forever live in my heart.
Keeping the laughter in my eyes.
Sweet memories in the sounds of silence.
