The Des Moines Symphony Orchestra is the official professional orchestra of the Des Moines area. They perform a monthly concert consisting of either pops or classical music. The DMSO features a variety of solo artists from all over the world. It is also made up of many interesting musicians. They are conducted by Maestro Joseph Giunta. However, we love them anyway!
The founders of the DMSO Fan Club are Katie Allen and Erin McCreary. We attend Friday night open rehearsals, Saturday evening concerts, and Sunday afternoon concerts. (All classical, of course-no pops for us!) And yes, we do have a life, we just like to give props to our homies in the DMSO. Shout out to the violin and cello sections! We're just doing our part to help give culture to the youth of America, or at least VHS.
