Stretching FM formed in the spring of 2000. In July 2000 they recorded their first demo with Keith Ridenour at Ridenour Studios in Ft. Lauderdale. Consisting of 8 songs, it was self-released and established the band as one of the premier up and coming acts in the area.

Sayings
“the rock gem A Million Miles From You…shows the promise of this band to be one of the best acts in the area. A steady beat, infectious guitar riffs, and easy to sing verses and choruses turn this song into a rock anthem for the indie world…this EP is definitely a must have for local indie fans.”

David Thomas
Palm Beach Post - August 24, 2001

“What If I Stopped Breathing?” is the new EP from Coral Spring's Stretching FM. Produced by James Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, Legends of Rodeo) the five-song disc has already received critical acclaim in the press and has sold well at the band's shows. Stretching FM may be an indie rock band but their sound merges the technical precision and emotion of Weezer with the arena rock punch of the Foo Fighters.

The band recently left their home of South Florida to attend college in distant Orlando. They will be playing numerous shows in Central and South Florida with stops in surrounding cities in thecoming months. In the past Stretching FM has shared the stage with national acts such as Hot Rod Circuit, Brandtson, Dashboard Confessional, as well as the best talent from the 27th state.
