HEROINE of this panto piece is Patti Boyd, friend of The Beatles. Despite the fact she's playing Patti "Girl Friday" in Putting Robinson Crusoe Through the Hoop, she's not shiverin'. She's stocked up with chill cheaters. Her own fave choice was peppermint striped pants and matching vest cut like a small boy's singlet. Girls who get goose pimples when they're on desert islands - or jumping through hoops at home, for that matter - will find that new wool, nylon or Tricel hug-me-tights are sensational. It's the beat underwear to beat the cold.
(1) Patti jumped through the panto hoops and whooped with delight at the sight of this Hot Scarlet lace camisole top, cosy pants cute baby bonnet and draught-proof bootees. Top and pants, 49s. each; bonnet 29s. 11d.; bootees 21s. All by Martha Hill.

(3)Cheerful chill cheaters to drive the blues away. Black and white pantaloons in wool (Jaegar, 25s.) The spencer top, with crocheted shoulder straps, is 11s. 6d. (From Fenwicks of New Bond Street, London W.1.) Winter eating - hot puds, roast spuds, hot buttered toast and crumpets can put on lumpy inches. Borrow a hoop from a kid brother or sister and go in for a few rounds of the Hula hip business. The idea is you wiggle you hips to keep the hoop airborne.
